PERLISTEN’s S7t Limited Edition Loudspeakers Unveiled: High-End Munich 2023
If Magico thought they would be the only American loudspeaker brand to introduce a new reference quality product at High-End Munich 2023, those hopes have been dashed with new Perlisten S7t Limited Edition Loudspeakers which are actually more affordable than the new S3, at almost $15,000.
For those even considering buying speakers in the $30,000 to $45,000 range, the price difference may mean nothing, but it’s still a pretty significant price difference between two speakers that we consider state of the art.

We covered the launch Perlist audio in 2021 and waited with bated breath for their real availability in the US and Canada. While the technology behind this very impressive new loudspeaker company is certainly not cheap, it deserves some serious attention.
The Perlisten speaker brand has already made a positive impact on serious music listeners and home theater fans with its excellent standalone speakers and subwoofers.
Now, just two years after the launch of the iconic S7t and the entire S Series, the PERLISTEN engineering team is taking another giant step forward in sonic excellence.
The world premiere will take place in High End Munich 2023 and can be found at the Audio Reference Atrium 3.1 room D111.

The suggested retail price is $30,000 (per pair) for the S7t Limited Edition. The all-new S7t Limited Edition will be developed at PERLISTEN’s headquarters in Madison, Wisconsin, USA.
We assume that they will also be produced in the same facility, but this may not be the case.
Perlisten has updated the woofers with increased linear travel, lower inductance and increased bass capability. DPC-Array, while retaining existing drives and pattern control, is also different; All 3 converters were connected to a massive aluminum heatsink in a new design.
The S7t Limited Edition also features an updated crossover where components are hand-picked and measured to much tighter tolerances.

Thin layer carbon diaphragm
The TexTreme Carbon Fiber (TPCD) used in our midrange drivers is also key to the performance of our woofers, delivering lighter-than-air dynamics and the kind of impact you’d expect from a flagship speaker that can reproduce up to 20Hz indoors.

This technology is 30% lighter than standard carbon fiber of the same thickness, with increased strength through the use of a unique multilayer stacking process. The unique weave is unmistakable and distributes insertion modes without harsh response peaks while expanding bandwidth.

Isoacoustic isolation
Working with IsoAcoustics engineers using their proprietary technology, Perlisten developed the PERLISTEN special isolation/damping system, available only on the S7t-Limited. This provides a high degree of isolation while resisting lateral movement and vibration to maintain conformity with the listening position.
Internal reflections from a hard supporting surface are attenuated, resulting in a clearer and more open sound. In addition, a massive 18kg machined steel base provides grounding for the speaker cabinet.

PERLISTEN CEO Lars Johansen explained that “The limited edition S7t represents something extraordinary, opening up new facets of our global footprint in the audio industry. Every single component has been optimized and the cases have been updated with rounded carbon fiber side panels over HDF. Simply put, the limited edition is our masterpiece, bringing new glory to the PERLISTEN team.”
